Brad Rowe

(BCom, DipPM)
Tourism Specialist and Project Manager

Working throughout the tourism ecosystem for over 10 years and with recent destination management experience, Brad is a tourism specialist with a track record of providing exceptional results in different project based and operational environments.

Executing and actioning projects is one of Brad’s strengths using his ability to bring people and organisations together to achieve desired outcomes. He has a keen interest in purposeful projects that add to the visitor experience as well as provide benefit to the local community and destination.

His history of work includes tourism developments for Skyline Enterprises (NZ, Singapore, Canada), the Doppelmayr Garaventa Group (and their ski area and resort customers), Lightning Lab tourism’s accelerator program and Destination Management work for Tourism Bay of Plenty and Lake Wanaka Tourism. Working in a mix of private and public sector gives him a well-rounded, real world view to projects, understanding challenges and unlocking opportunities.

Project highlights include

  • Skyline Queenstown mountain biking project and operations manager – now a “hero” experience for Queenstown’s summer season

  • Doppelmayr NZ business, operations and project management – building and maintaining ropeways (chairlifts, gondolas, transport infrastructure) in mountain environments throughout the country

  • Invited participant to Lightning Lab’s programme focused on building a sustainable innovation ecosystem for the future of tourism in New Zealand

  • Executing destination management outcomes, enabling community benefit through tourism, throughout the Bay of Plenty and Queenstown Lakes regions.

Outside of work Brad is found exploring the mountains around Queenstown with his mountain bike, snowboard or running shoes.
