Tina Weston

Open Spaces Planner 

Tina is a Lincoln University Batchelor of Environment Policy and Planning with honors graduate majoring in Parks and Outdoor Recreation. She has a keen interest in community recreation and open space planning reflected in both her studies and work placements. Tina has gained experience with both Christchurch and Dunedin City Council completing two internships in the Parks and Planning departments respectfully. She has become an active member of the Generate program being on the steering committee for the 2021 Conference held in Christchurch. Her passion and motivation has also extended into voluntary roles which includes being the vice president of the Lincoln University Recreation Society alongside assisting the Generate Network with their 2021 Conference. One highlight was running a successful careers night and gaining sponsorship for accessibility of students to the Generate Conference.  

Tina has gained a scholarship from the Department of Conservation reflecting her academic achievement. Being an accredited member of the New Zealand Planning institute Tina has a broad skill set in both statutory planning, environmental management as well as Parks and Outdoor Recreation.

 

Outside of work Tina enjoys swimming in the ocean, sewing for beginners and recreational reading.
