Peter Bielik
Landscape Architect
I have always been passionate about traveling and have been intrigued by how outdoor spaces (especially in urban setting) have developed throughout history. As Landscape Architect, I am motivated to be a part of that process and to help create environment where people, built form and nature can connect, thrive and complement each other. I see every new project as challenge and opportunity to develop and create the best outcome. I value communication with client as crucial collaborative factor in design process. I joined Thrive Spaces & Places in November 2022 to do my internship and afterwards continued working as part of Thrive Spaces & Places. Since joining the Thrive team, I got a chance to work on range of projects including cemetery planning, housing developments, master planning, and ecological restoration projects.
Before embarking on a career change, I worked for 15 years in the hospitality industry, managing restaurants in London, Bratislava, and Prague. This environment helped me to develop my people skills, problem solving and ability to work under stress.
In my spare time, I enjoy CrossFit, outdoor adventures, food (a lot of food), exploring new places as well as continue with my professional development.
