Recreation and Open Spaces Planner

Sam is Thrive Spaces and Places newest Recreation and Open Spaces Planner. Sam has worked across the sport and recreation management field, focusing on community connection, program development, and event management. She has an array of experience that can be found in both the public and not- for-profit sectors working in Canada and New Zealand, creating youth and adult recreation programming opportunities. She joins Thrive Spaces and Places after graduating from Lincoln University’s Bachelor of Sport and Recreation Management Program with a double major in Event Management.

Sam continues to broaden her knowledge as she is embarking on her post- graduate studies in Parks and Recreation at Lincoln University.

Based in our Wanaka, office outside of work Sam enjoys frolicking in the mountains with her beloved Bernese Mountain Dog Douglas, hiking, boating and baking up a storm for her whanau.
