A blend of residential and commercial land uses in the area required a home garden styled yet easy care border as a front feature for the clients commercial property in the Tauranga CBD

Final concept featured the use of existing vegetation to a great extent, reducing construction costs and provide an element of maturity to the garden

Wilson Park Masterplan

Challenges included the retention of the large open green space for events, upgrading the toilet facilities, improvement of the main- entrance, inclusion of cultural recognition, mitigation of on-site impacts of stormwater and connecting power for events

Solutions involved a community orchard, seating solutions, drainage features and bridges, cultural interpretation panels, upgrade of thetoilets and retention of open green space with sparsely placed specimen trees.
