Fiona Colquhoun

Senior Parks and Recreation Planner

With more than 30 years’ experience in parks and recreation planning working at all levels of government, I bring strategic insight and practical experience to shaping places and supporting natural and cultural heritage and communities.

I am a strategic and creative thinker who enjoys bringing together diverse perspectives through facilitation, engagement and clear communication. My approach combines listening, analysis and practical problem-solving to develop plans, strategies and operational approaches that reflect both organisational priorities and community aspirations.

I am passionate about helping organisations tell meaningful stories and communicate complex issues in accessible and engaging ways. Whether developing long-term strategic direction, facilitating stakeholder conversations or synthesising detailed information into practical outcomes, I focus on delivering benefits for people, places and organisational success.

My work spans parks, trails, recreation and heritage planning and community engagement, with a strong interest in supporting communities and organisations to create places that are valued now and into the future.
