My experience spans both the private and public sectors, from resource consent planning to leading strategic parks and open space projects within local government. I have led the development of open space and recreation strategies, reserve management plans, play strategy initiatives, and community engagement projects, and enjoy working alongside clients, stakeholders, and communities to create places that people value now and into the future.

 

Alongside my role at Thrive Spaces & Places, I host PodParks, the official podcast of World Urban Parks, where I interview parks and recreation professionals from around the globe. I also serve as the Events Coordinator for the New Zealand Parks Leaders Forum and on the Generate Network Steering Committee, having previously co-chaired the network. I am currently completing a Master of Parks Planning and enjoy contributing to the continued growth of the parks and recreation profession across Aotearoa.

Outside of work, I love travelling the world and experiencing new cultures. I enjoy exploring the parks, trails, and public spaces that make each place unique, and you'll usually find me hiking, skiing, running, or hunting down a great coffee
